Looking for an online South Asian therapist in Canada who truly gets it? Growing up in India, I saw firsthand how little space existed for conversations about mental health, especially within families where emotional struggles were often minimized, misunderstood, or expected to be endured silently. I witnessed how people around me carried anxiety, stress, and relationship pain without the language or support to express it, which often led to isolation rather than healing.

These early experiences shaped my deep commitment to creating spaces where emotional experiences are acknowledged rather than dismissed. They also fueled my passion for helping people feel less alone in what they are going through and more equipped to understand and express their internal world.

I specialise in working with individuals and couples from South Asian and immigrant communities, because I understand how important it is to feel genuinely seen in a therapy space. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, or the experience of building identity across cultures, I strive to create a space where all of this can be explored openly, safely, and without judgment.

My approach is rooted in collaboration, self-discovery, and the belief that healing happens when people feel both accepted and empowered. I aim to help clients feel heard, strengthen their emotional awareness, and build resilience, clarity, and confidence to move forward in a way that feels authentic to them.

I also have experience working with individuals and couples navigating communication difficulties, conflict patterns, cultural expectations within relationships, and major life transitions such as marriage, separation, immigration, and identity shifts. I am particularly attuned to how culture, family systems, and personal history intersect in shaping relationship dynamics.

My approach is collaborative and integrative. I place emphasis on talk therapy and draw on techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy, always adapting to the unique needs of each individual or couple. I also place strong emphasis on psychoeducation, as I believe that understanding your emotions, patterns, and nervous system is a key part of creating lasting change rather than just symptom relief.

Outside of the therapy room, you will find me creating intricate mandalas, experimenting in the kitchen, or reorganising a space until it feels balanced and calm. I value the connection between the external environment and internal clarity, and I bring that same intentionality into my therapeutic work.
