I was drawn to counselling through a deep belief that people deserve spaces where they can feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted, especially during the parts of life that can feel difficult to explain to others. My approach is rooted in creating a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, compassionate, and human, while helping clients better understand themselves and the patterns that may be keeping them feeling stuck.

As a second-generation daughter of immigrants, I understand the complexity that can come with navigating different cultural expectations, family dynamics, identity, responsibility, and the pressure to hold things together. This perspective has shaped the way I approach therapy and my appreciation for how our experiences, relationships, culture, and environments influence the way we learn to cope and connect with ourselves and others.

Many of the clients I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or caught in patterns they understand intellectually but struggle to change. Others are navigating trauma, chronic stress, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, grief, self-esteem concerns, or the emotional impact of living with chronic pain or illness.

My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and individualized. Rather than believing there is one way to do therapy, I draw from somatic therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, compassion-focused approaches, and parts-informed work. I place particular importance on helping clients understand the connection between their mind, body, emotions, and nervous system.

Therapy with me is not about being told what you should do or who you should be. It is a space to slow down, become curious about what you are experiencing, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Together, we can work toward creating meaningful change while building greater self-compassion, emotional safety, and trust in yourself.
